MooglyCAL2023 – Block 16
MooglyCAL2023 Block 16 is a fun and quick center-out design by Amy Ramnarine of The Stitchin’ Mommy! The Reminiscence 12 Inch Square is worked with lots of color changes, and a lovely mix of stitches! This is part of the 2023 Moogly Crochet Along.
The Reminiscence Square is more complicated than you might think at first glance – and full of surprises! That said, Amy has written a lovely pattern that’s easy to follow. It’s also sure to keep your hook entertained! It’s a nicely solid square, and with frequent color changes it’s easy to make it your own.
The Details
- Helpful Links and Tutorials: Magic Circle, Join with Hdc, Join with Dc, Post Stitches, Crossed Stitches, and Seamless Finishing.
- Sizing: Measure as you go! If it’s a little small, you can bump up Rnd 12 to hdc instead of sc.
- Materials Used: Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love.

- Rnd 1 – 2: Pewter
- Rnd 3 – 4: White

This square required moderate blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
