MooglyCAL2022 – Block 21
MooglyCAL2022 Block #21 is a light and lovely center-out square, by Andee Graves of Mamas2Hands! The Floating Star Afghan Square is quick, entertaining, and sure to please. This is part of the 2022 Moogly Crochet Along.
The Floating Star Afghan Square is a well-written square, with some great tips and a full abbreviation list included. As always, be sure to read everything before you begin! Rnd 8, in particular, might have you second-guessing the pattern… but trust it! It all works out! And the result is a lovely crochet block.

- Sizing: Measure as you go! Learn how to adjust for size to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
- Materials Used: Furls US-J, 6.0 mm hook, and Red Heart With Love.

Color Placement Scheme
- Rnds 1 – 3: Tangerine
- Rnds 4 and 5: Cornsilk
- Rnds 6 and 7: Lettuce
- Rnds 8 and 9: Iced Aqua
- Rnds 10 and 11: White
- Rnds 12 – 14: Pewter
This square required very mild blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
