MooglyCAL2023 – Block 14
MooglyCAL2023 Block 14 is a beautiful, floral, and relaxing design by Carolyn Christmas of Pink Mambo! The Sweet Summer Square is worked with lots of color changes, for ultimate personalization! This is part of the 2023 Moogly Crochet Along.
Carolyn is a brilliant pattern writer, and her squares are always a pleasure to make. This square is interesting, beautiful, center-out, and works up in an evening. The finishing options are perfect, and the finished square barely needs any blocking at all!

- Sizing: This square offers a variety of finishing options, depending on how your sizing is working out – love that! I ended up using the hdc instructions for Rnd 11. Learn how to adjust for size to make sure all your squares are the same size. Remember that the 12″ is measured across and up and down – not diagonally corner to corner.
- Materials Used: Susan Bates US-J, 6.0 mm Twist and Lock hook, and Red Heart With Love.
Color Placement Scheme
- Color A: Pewter
- Color B: Light Gray
- Color C: White
This square required a very mild blocking. I used the wet blocking method, or you could use light steam.
